Dr Anil Wilson
Dr Anil Wilson, Vice-Chancellor, Himachal Pradesh University, is one of the most acknowledged educationists in the country. His range of expertise runs right from the nursery class (where he was invited by the Delhi High Court to be on the committee to determine norms for nursery admission), to the middle and secondary stage (he has served or serves on the Managing Committees of some of the best known schools in the country: Bishop Cotton School Shimla, Modern School New Delhi, Welham Boys School Dehradun, Mayo College Ajmer, Shri Ram School New Delhi, Tyndale Biscoe School, Srinagar, etc., and is a member of the Executive Committee of the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations) to the College level (he has headed the well known St Stephen’s College, Delhi, for sixteen years, and also serves or has served on the Governing Bodies of colleges like the St John’s College, Agra, Christian Medical College Ludhiana, Christian Medical College, Vellore, Ewing College Allahabad, BITS Mesra, and is the Founder Member of the SSR Medical College Mauritius) to the university level (he has been associated with the Cambridge University, U.K, the Brown University, USA, Soka University, Japan, Liverpool Hope University, U.K. etc). He is the recipient of prestigious awards like the Beresford Hope Award by the St Augustine’s Foundation, U.K., Award of Highest Honour by the Soka University Japan, Indira Gandhi Priyadarshini Award, Distinguished Educationist Award, Bharat Shiromani Award, etc.

 

Dr. S. K. Dhawan
Dr. S. K. Dhawan, alumnus of the Punjab and Himachal Pradesh Universities, retired from the Directorate of Higher Education, Government of Himachal Pradesh as Joint Director. For twenty-five years he worked as a lecturer in Zoology in various government colleges of Himachal Pradesh and then as Principal in these colleges for five years. He has been a faculty member of the Himachal Institute of Public Administration, the Academic Staff College of Himachal Pradesh University and Indira Gandhi National Open University. He has been associated with various educational programmes of the state of Himachal Pradesh and has also worked as Principal Scientific Officer in the State Council of Science, Technology and Environment, Government of Himachal Pradesh.
He is a trained assessor for National Assessment and Accreditation Council, an autonomous body under the University Grants Commission, New Delhi. This Council is entrusted with the work of assessing and accrediting colleges and universities in India. He is on the panel of National Council for Teachers’ Education. This work entails assessing the capacity of institutions to conduct B.Ed classes. He is a qualified Lead Auditor and Technical Expert for ISO:9001 Certification.

Mrs. Joy Michael
Mrs. Joy Michael is a very well known name in the educational and theatre circles. She has been associated with education and theatre for more than forty years. Her illustrious career in education culminated in her retirement from the position of Principal, St. Thomas Senior Secondary School, New Delhi. During her tenure as Principal of St. Thomas School, she introduced many innovations in the teaching-learning processes in the school and thus, today, that school is one of the foremost schools in Delhi. Mrs. Michael is not only a well traveled person, she has had working experience in a number of countries in the world, the foremost among which is the USA. She has worked with the US Education Foundation where she was incharge of the programmes for Indian Professors and Research Scholars visiting US universities. She has been the administrator of the exchange programme between Ivy League Women’s colleges in the USA and six women’s colleges in India. She worked as the incharge of exchange programmes at the University of Hawai. She has also worked with the Fullbright Foundation for twenty-three years. She has visited a number of universities in the USA and taught at three colleges affiliated to the University of Virginia and University of New York. Thus, her expertise spans the entire gamut of education from school level to college and university level. Today, Mrs. Joy Michael sits on the governing bodies and management committees of a number of prestigious schools and colleges foremost among which are Woodstock School, Mussoorie and Bishop Cotton School, Shimla. She has been the director of the famous theatre group Yatrik for forty years and even today she directs and acts in plays.

Dr. Jacob Cherian
Dr. Jacob Cherian holds a Ph.D. in High Energy Physics and has been a dedicated teacher all his life. Due to his abiding interest in science, he is a life member of the Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science and has been associated with the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations in the formulation of curriculum in Physics and Computer Science. He taught physics and mathematics in schools and colleges in Bhutan before joining the prestigious St. Stephen’s College, where he held the post of Vice-Principal 2005 to 2007. Of the numerous clubs and societies in the St. Stephen’s College, the Social Service League has been the most active one as he has been the Staff Advisor of this society. He is a very compassionate human being which is reflected in his social work with people who are medically unwell. Besides serving other educational institutions in an advisory capacity, he is a member of the Governing Body of the Kline Memorial School, Pune. He is a master trainer and has conducted a number of workshops and seminars for teachers
